Is Switzerland Worth Visiting?

With a history dating back to the late 1600s, Fondue as Switzerland’s national food hit the spotlight in the mid 1900s. It has become something of a symbol of how ingenious and absolutely mindblowing the Swiss cuisine is. Fun fact, the world’s largest chocolate museum (Home of Chocolate Museum) is a few miles south of Zurich. The huge chocolate fountain almost feels surreal.

Another major attraction of Switzerland is its magnificent scenery, marked almost distinctively by humongous peaks. Whether you choose to walk, cycle, or drive, you will see wonders that are nothing short of marvels. For interested parties, just about every corner in Switzerland hides an insta-worthy shot or clip. While there, check out the top of Europe. This is a nickname for the sky-reaching Jungfraujoch peaks. You should also make out time to tour the capital city of Bern.

The excellent and vibrant culture is also a major attraction. The city is home to one of Europe’s top 50 carnivals- the Fasnacht Carnival. For 3 whole days, the cities are covered in magical candlelight, streets filled with people cheering, singing, and dancing; and the air is thick with the sound of piccolos and other instruments.

Switzerland is a country filled with life, fun, and an obvious appreciation for art and beauty. No wonder so many of their traditions are viewed as UNESCO heritage. If you plan to visit, do so, you will not regret a single moment.
